Angry Temp Dropping Fast
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: PLRS267ZA
Age: 5 - 10 years

Temp has dropped to 22 degrees, turning refrig side to warmest setting has not helped. I assume thermostat? Freezer appears to have steaks that are below zero based on infared thermometer.

Second issue is ice hangs up and does not eject.

Came with the house 9 mos ago.

Look in the back of the freezer section and look through the vents and see if the coil are iced up.

If the coil are iced up the fridge is not defrosting and this is causing both your problems.

This could be caused be the defrost control in the fridge section.

The defrost heater or the defrost bi metal in the freezer section.

You will need a meter to check the bi metal and heater for continuity.

If these check out good then is is the defrost control.

Here is a link to your fridge model PLRS267ZA.

You will also need the last two digits of your model number.

There will be a letter and a number.

These can be found on the tag in the fridge section.
