Hi:
The lights in the top refrigerator compartment of my Sub Zero 550 no longer work. The refrigerator seems to work fine but the lights in the top refrigerator compartment no longer function. I replaced them all, but no luck. Also the lights for the controls which are blue no longer work .
Do you have any ideas. I was thinking the door switch, but I am not sure if it's the one on the left or right. How can I check them with a simple VOM.

It is either a bad switch or a bad light socket.

You can check the switch with your ohm meter.

Shut the power off to the fridge and take the switch out and remove the wires to get a good reading.

Hi:

For the reply. I checked the sockets and they appear to be OK, but Hiw do i remove the switch and which one. There are two the left or the right. I bought a thermometer and the temprature in both fridge and freezer are bang on.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

The switches should just pop out.

You will have to check both.
