Default Smelly freezer dried blood no entery how clean
Brand: Hotpoint
Age: More than 10 years

I have an old hotpoint referigerator top mount freezer. around 20 years old workds great. had a warranty replaced compressor just before warranty went out sometime. Any way the freezer was full of meat and I turned off the power and several days later learned of what happened.
The front of the the freezer has vents across of the bottom and blood entered there of course. There seems to be no acces to it, it looks to be the blown together type. I have aired it out and poured bleach water in there and now am trying to let it run with newspapers in there hoping it works?

Any ideas how to clean out or get rid of the smell?
Thanks

Default

Add your Model Number
May be able to get a parts breakdown which will help with opening it up
Or perhaps someone else has taken apart this unit
Quite often there are hidden clips and tabs that must be released

Have never had much success just spraying into the area always ended up having to open it up and carefully clean
