Sides of refrigerator hot to touch and insides are warm

10 year old Kenmore refrigerator (side-by-side) is hot to the touch on the sides of the refrigerator, and the freezer will not freeze ice and the temperature inside the refrigerator side will not get below 50 degrees. What should I do about these symptoms.

Hi,

Pull the refrigerator out and take the back panel off. Look for a fan next to the compressor and see if it's running.

Also clean the bottom coils with a vac from the front of the refrigerator.

The fan motor should run when the compressor runs.
