Here is the parts breakdown, will help find things
GE TFX22CRDABB Parts List

Your defrost time is in the fresh food section. Click on the part number (blue print) quite often another page will open, scroll down and there may be help from others who have used this part.

Probably the timer or the defrost thermostat or the defrost heater is shot
Remove the evaporator coils cover in the freezer so you can see what is happening. Rotate the timer shaft till the freezer fan goes off, you are now in defrost. Does the heater heat?

IF YES then you need a new timer, Only caveat is the freezer must be cold otherwise the thermostat will prevent the heater from running (contacts closed when cold)

IF NO then probably either the thermostat or the heater itself. Best to use a ohm meter to check these. May still be a timer problem re: the contacts are shot.
