Exclamation Side by Side Refrig Leaking
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gss22jfma
Age: 5 - 10 years

The smart water part of the fridge will not stop leaking. I had to "crimp" the water line to it to get it to stop. It never had a filter installed in it. It was that way when I bought the house. How do I get it to stop leaking without having to "crimp" it? Now I have to ice! Help!!!!

Is it the supply line to the fridge that you had to crimp?

If it is you have low water pressure to the fridge and the valve is not shutting.

The valve on the back of the fridge is closed by water pressure.

There may be a blockage in the shut off valve in the house water line to the fridge.

Here is a link to your fridge model gss22jfma.
