Good Morning:

I have a Kenmore Elite, made in 2002, with a divider panel which is warmer than usual. This model has an automatic exterior moisture control feature which is designed to prevent condensation from building up on the outside near the door gaskets. Internal temperature appears to be constant and evaporation tray is dry. If this unit is not working could this be what is causing the warm-up? Could I replace this myself? Can anybody offer some suggestions?

You have restricted air flow.

Check the condenser fan motor for operation.

It is located next to the compressor.

Check the condenser coils for dust.

The condenser is located under the fridge.

Vacuum if they are plugged.

The condenser fan was non-operational. Will replace. Thanks for the advice.
