Default Side of frig warm
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GBS22HCRBWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

We have a bottom freezer unit. The lower front left side of the unit is warm (at about the top of the freezer unit which is at the bottom of the whole unit) and ice cream soft but ice staying solid. Pulled it away from the wall. Not a lot of dust build up (cleaned anyway) noticed condenser fan was not running. Put small desktop fan on floor directed at coils and freezer cooled down to point ice cream became hard again.

Replaced condenser fan motor but motor did not start running. Thought maybe condenser coils cool enough to not kick on fan. Pushed unit back and thought I was good to go.

Ice cream soft again and lower left front side warm again. Pulled unit away from wall. Over last couple of days have never observed the fan not kicking on. Before I waste another $100 on a motor, what do you think the real problem is?

Thanks in advance for any help

It sound like a problem with the mother board.

It is number 801 on the cabinet breakdown.

This board supplies the motor with 12vdc.

Here is a link to your fridge model GBS22HCRBWW.
