Frigidare side by side. The problem is it's freezing everything. Checked it this morning and the freezer section will not shut down. It has frozen the water filter (and it busted) and will freeze water in the refrig section.

Can you please verify your model number?

The model number is located in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.

The problem that your are having is the control.

It is not the defrost thermostat that is causing your problem.

It is the control that is in the fridge section.

It has a capillary tube on it.

Be careful not to damage the tube when replacing it.
