Sheila - I'm also trying to determine what is causing my GE frig to run constantly (Frez - 0, Frig - 40). When I tried to remove the back panel in the freezer compartment to check for ice build-up, I was unable to remove it due to some fastener on the left side. I tried to remove the grill which is directional regarding tray or icemaker but was unable to do so (I have trays). I have removed the screw on the upper right and unlatched to two top latches but the panel is somehow secured on the left side. How do I get the blamed thing off without breaking something? Joe

Can you please supply your model number of your fridge?

The model number can be found in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.
