Default Runs 24-7
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Model Number: FUI99LRW2
Age: More than 10 years

Hello
I recently became owner of a 1989 white westinghouse upright freezer.
Brought it home , put in some water jugs and ice trays , turned the setting to 4.
The next morning all ice was frozen solid. .... But...... freezer ran 24-7... OK .
I contact a repair man , He shows up with a set of gauges and a can of R12. He tested the gas and said it was fine. The compressor comes on and goes off when it should . But the fan on the inside of freezer runs 24-7 .
When I frist tryed to lower the Temp. I set it at 3 .... Ok ... it all ran for about an hour ,then turned off like it should , but would not freeze ice.
The day the repair man came in the afternoon , he had told me to set it on 3 that morning , which I did . It never did go off in about 4 hours before he came.
He checked it all out ,from what he said and told me it was fine said he`d like to have a hundred like it........ He told me to put more water jugs in it and level it up,
and let it run for a couple of days ,that it would be fine.. OK ... this I do.....
It will Freeze stuff SOLID ...... the compressor turns on and off, the sides of unit are warm , which he says that they should , but the fan runs
24-7 .....
All help will be Greatly Appreciated

You could have contaminated freon in it, low freon charge, or a bad compressor. Measure freezer temperature and post.
