Default Run Away Ice Maker
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 5 - 10 years

My ice maker will not stop filling and making ice, even when the bin is full and when the arm is pulled up into the "stop" position. I've turned the water off for the time being until I get this issue resolved.

You may have to take the ice maker out and remove the cover to expose the inside and see if you can slightly bend the arm or switch so that it will make the switch when the arm is raised, but be sure it releases the switch with the arm lowered.
