Check to see if the condenser fan at the back bottom of fridge is running.
Is the compressor motor near that fan running.
Are the coils warm ,cold or hot.

Roper is made by whirlpool, what you problems is, is the relay, and overload kit that is attached to you compressor. Replace it, and I am sure that you will have no problems.

It couldnt have a defective defrost timer and be stuck in defrost? Or perhaps a cold control that has failed, not sending voltage TO the compressor or start relay?Might want a little more info there partshanger.

I Have been having the same Problem with this same fridge the relay kicks in and then kicks out again a few seconds later So is this most likely the relay overload kit. When the relay kicks in the is a faint whining noise for a second. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Nick
