Talking Reversing door handles
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: yktrI18kxw01
Age: More than 10 years

I am trying to reverse the door on my fridge and can't locate the screw which holds the centre of the fridge door so I can remove the handle. I have removed part of the fridge door seal thinking that there may be a screw on the inside of the door but couldn't locate one. Can anyone tell me how the middle of the door handle is attached to the fridge and how to access it. Moving the remaining parts from one side to the other appears to be quite straightforward.

Can you please check your model number as I can not locate it in our database?

Is the fridge Canadian or American?

The model number per the label on the inside of the fridge is YKTRI18KXW01. The only character I am not absolutely certain is the I after the 'R' which could be the number 1 but I don't think so. The serial number is EB1513801 if this is helpful.

The label says it was manufactured in St. Joseph Mi., USA 49085 but it was purchased in Canada.

Hope this helps and you can shed some light on this for me. Thanks.

OK because your fridge is a Canadian model I could not bring up a breakdown of it on our site.

If you go to the Whirlpool site you can get a picture there.

The center of the door handle should pop out and then you will have access to the center screw.
