Hello. My Amana refrigerator water filter change light had gone yellow/orange. We changed filter with a new one and have run water through it for several weeks now during use (not to mention about 5-8 gallons at change out). However, the 'green light' has not come back on after I reset the system(by holding the lock button as directed in owner manual).

This model has a green light near words 'water filter' and then another green light next to words 'ok' and a yellow/orange light next to words 'change'. When I reset the system the green 'ok' light never came back on... the 'orange/yellow' light is off now too.

So, any chance I reinstalled filter wrong and it isnt reading the filter condition or some other problem here?

not a big deal.... I just will change out the filter automatically every 3-6 months as usual, but I am hopeing someone can relate and inform me on this.

I think there may be a problem with the electronic board.

I don't think you installed the filter wrong.

Keep an eye out for other sign of the electronic board failing such as not dispensing water.
