Default Replacing Fresh Food Door Gasket
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 363.68282891
Age: 5 - 10 years

The gasket on the fresh food door of my Kenmore refridgerator has torn (the magnet is hanging out the bottom portion), so I purchased a replacement (part number WR24X446). Unfortunately, the new gasket did not come with any installation instructions. I can't seem to find any screws that secure the gasket to the fresh food door. Is it supposed to pop off the door when pulled?

Thanks for your help,
Leon

You should be able to fold the old gasket back from the inside to outside and see the screws holding the gasket holder. just go all the way around taking them out and reverse to install the new one.

One other thing, Your door closing cam may be broken. The cam lifts the door up when you open it and this helps it close on its own. When it's broken it doesn't lift up and can drag on the gasket. There is a cam on each of the two pins which go into the hinge.
