Default Replacing door seals
Brand: Sears
Model Number: Don't know
Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a chest type Sears freezer that's outside on our porch because we don't have room for inside since we moved. Recently, I've noticed an extra amount of ice build up inside. I'm wondering if we need to replace the seals, and if so, how expensive and hard will it be?

If you did not have a large ice build up before you moved it could be the location of the freezer.

If it is warm on your porch you will find more of an ice build up.

In order to find out the cost of the gasket I would need your model number.

To replace the gasket can be a bit tricky.

I'll have to see if I can find it. I'm pretty sure that the model number is on the side near the controls, which is blocked at the moment.

In regard to it being warm on the porch, it hasn't been until the last two weeks or so. Until then, it's been in the 40s and 50s, so I'm not sure that would be it.
