Exclamation Replacement Ice Maker
Brand: Amana
Model Number: sxd27tw
Age: More than 10 years

I just received my replacement ice maker and It came with an instruction sheet stating that I need to remove the bearing and inlet from the old ice maker and install in the new one. I can't figure out what they are talking about.

The other problem, the place where the fill tube attaches has a hole in the side of it and my original ice maker does not have this hole., I think it must be for a side inlet fill tube, where mine fills from the top. Do I have the wrong ice maker or is there a retrofit that can be done?

Default Still not working

I went ahead and installed the ice maker on the hopes that the water flow would not be enough to spray out the side hole. I have yet to hear the ice maker fill with water. Could there be something else wrong that is preventing the water flow to the ice maker? I replaced the water inlet valve and the door water is working.
