Question Replaced bad Evap Fan Motor, runs continuosly
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: tfh30prta
Age: More than 10 years

Hi-
I just replaced the Evap Fan Motor that was bad. Fan runs now, but does not shut off when the door is open. Any ideas? The light goes on & off with the door open & closed. The freezer is much colder with the new fan. I definately had to replace it. I am just afraid that I will burn the new one out if it runs too long.
Help!!!

Default

The fan will run with the door open on some models. It should work fine now. Just see if it turns off when the set temp is reached or when you turn the temp control off.

Thumbs up

It did shut off for a while and come back on now. It seemed like it was getting warm again, but then it came back on and is back down to 10 degrees. I think it probably seemed warmer to me because it was empty.
Thanks for all the help...you saved us a couple hundred $$$.
Thank You!!!
