Default Replace ice crusher motor
Brand: Maytag
Age: 5 - 10 years

my ice cube bucket froze solid, pinning the ice "rake" thingy that moves the cubes frojmk the bucket to the dispenser. then when we used the dispenser the motor got stuck and managed to rip itself right off its plastic mounting. the motor appears fine and i bought a new tray/bucket for it to mount to. but there is a piece I need to take off to thread through the plastic mount and I can't figure out how to get it off. It looks threaded, but it rotates with the motor so when I try to turn it off, the motor rotates. Not sure if there is a place to lock the motor so I can get leverage on it or...

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks

If what your talking about is what I am thinking , your motor is on one side and this little U or fork is on the other , Foul the motor careful as you can , and then turn the whole fork it should thread right off but it might reqire alittle bit of Torque!!!!!
