Unhappy Refrigerature Freezer problem
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gss25sgscss
Age: 1 - 4 years

We had a power surge a few days ago and I think it has affected my frig/freezer. The freezer seems to be working fine but the ice maker will not make ice. The on switch is on but there is an lcd under it theat the manual says should be lit and it is not.

The frig part is also just barely cool, definitely not cold.

I called GE help and got no where as we live on an island off Honduras.

Does anybody have a clue what is going on?

Thank you

The power surge has likely damaged the mother control board that is located at the back of the fridge.

There should be a technician sheet behind the kick plate under the two door that can help you test the fridge.

Here is a link to your fridge model gss25sgscss.
