Exclamation Refrigerator Won’t get cold
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: MCBR360S

I have a mini-refrigerator, and the top of it is a small freezer. My Power went out yesterday so in attempt to stop all of the ice that had accumulated on the freezer bar from melting and getting all over my floor I attempted to chisel the Ice off. As I was Chiseling I guess I hit it to hard and put a small whole in the freezer basket/shelf. It started to make a noise like it was releasing air and that’s when I noticed that the hole was in one of the lines that connects to the back of the freezer. Now my refrigerator won't even get cold. Can I replace that part? Or can I just clog the hole? Please let me know.

Thanks in Advance,
Allie

OKay so I did some research and think that I have a Refrigerant leak.. what should I do? Is this toxic? Its been leaking for about 24 hours now... Please help

Allie,

It sounds like you've punctured the evaporator. Unfortunately I couldn't find your model number in our database so I can't be more specific.

You have two choices - call a repair person and see if they can fix your fridge or buy a new one. Sorry!
