Default use a refrigerant flare type filter

the function of wf is to filter any foreign matters in your system. without wf, it will do for a while but will surely clog your system tubing. if your using a copper tube as your water line , you can use a flare type filter( use as filter for refrigerant without the silica gel) it is cheap and will do as a your filter.
you have to flare your tubing first to install the filter. it will clog later on.. just reverse the filter and purge it with water until you flushed the foreign matter and put it back again. you can use the size 1/4, 5/16,3/8 flare type filter

If you don't want the filter, just get the incoming water line, and hook it up directly to the water valve. Done.

Default Water Filter

If I take out the water filter, will water still flow to the dispensor? Or does that interrupt the flow? I have two upstream filters, so really don't want to filter again for the third time inside the refrigerator.

the purpose of wf on your water line is just to block foreign matters going to your unit. it's up to you if you don't want to filter your supply line. you mention you already have two filters on your water line system, that will do, no need to add one on your ref... unless your plumbing at your house is g.i.pipe which is maybe rusted. you can also put a refrigerant flare type filter without a silica gel on your ref water supply line. just flare the copper tube if that is your line going to your unit.

The answer to you question is no. It will not effect the dispenser. All you are doing is bypassing the water filter.

Not sure I understand your answer....since I asked a couple questions. Can I just remove the filter and it'll work as normal? Thanks!

I think if you remove the filter, and put the plug in it might work. If you do that and the water dispenser doesn't work you will know why
