Default Refrigerator warm/Freezer ok
Brand: Inglis
Model Number: IKT14130
Age: 5 - 10 years

I've been using your forum to trouble-shoot my problem and THANKS to your forum I can see that so far the problem comes from either the defrost timer and/or defrost heater and/or defrost thermostate. How do I specifically check these 3 areas on an Inglis? Thanks, Barb

Ok - meanwhile, Sheila is looking into my specific model. All the help is much appreciated!!! Thank-you. Barb

Hello again - I went to the site that you recommended and they don't seem to support Inglis parts. Barb

I have a Whirlpool side by side about 8 years old that had the freezer and refrigerator running warm. I replaced teh defrost timer and it seemed to work for a week or two. I noticed last night that the fridge was warm but the freezer felt cool but saw frost developing on the freezer coils. I turned the on the defrost cycle manually and the heater came on but it didn't seem like it was on for 10-15 minutes. I checked the defrost relay timer and it appears to be moving. Please let me know what to check next, the bi-metal thermostat. Current settings are at normal factory settings.
