Model Number: FRS24ZGE
Age: 5 - 10 years

My freezer keeps frosting up and my refrigertor is not cold. Please help, perhaps the thermostat?

Locate the defrost timer in one of the corners in the front of the fridge behind the kick plate.

With the compressor running turn the knob on the timer until the compressor shuts off.

The defrost cycle will last about 20 to 25 minutes.

Watch in the pan under the fridge to see if it is defrosting.

If nothing happens you have a faulty defrost heater or bi metal.

If the freezer defrosts then you have a faulty timer.

If the fridge does not start back up on its own you will have to turn the timer again until the compressor starts.
