Frige will run for hours perfectly then you notice cooling failing and perioticly you hear a "click, hum, pop" with fan running. I assume that is the compressor trying to cycle and popping the breaker. Turn off for at least 1 hour and let cool, everything is OK for a while. I guess the compress is hot/hung/both after several hours of operation.

Check that the condenser coils etc. are clean
Make sure the condenser fan is working and the blades are relatively clean

Coils are clean and fan is clean and working. Tracked down a good local repairman and we are going to check for a leaky capacitor. The backflow could be heating the start winding, I hope. Otherwise, looks like a bad compressor.

No capacitor on this model and the overload relay checks out. I will have to replace the compressor for $375 with a known good one.
