The compressor runs constantly. The refrigerator temp is staying at 40 and the freezer is staying at 0.

where is your temp setting at inside the fridge? you might want to move it one notch or two and see if the temp comes down some, no lower than 32 degrees on the fridge side. 35-40 degrees in normal. turn the temp down and see if the fridge shuts down after it's been running for awhile.

Hillbilly 08 - I tried what you suggested regarding changing the temperature selection. It didn't seem to change things but, for the first time, this morning, the frig turned off by itself. Perhaps the relay which determines shutdown was sticking and all the tinkering and temperature selection changing has effected the relay. We'll see what happens next cooling cycle. Thanks, JoeMcCann
