Default Refrigerator pulses, won't start
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PSS26SGRC
Age: 1 - 4 years

It sounds like it wants to start for a second, than stops for a second . . . over and over. The electonics (temp levels etc) are dead. Ice maker / water disp dies when it's used.

It sound like you have a bad mother board.

It is located at the back of the fridge behind a small panel.

Check the ending of your model number to ensure that you get the right board.

It should be on the tag in the fridge with the serial number.

You might have other problems like a shorted compressor or a short in the wiring. If you have a meter and some skill, post back and ask!

You could have a dirty condenser, does it fell hot underneath where the compressor is?

Thanks all. It was the main board. Called GE repair. The guy listened to it for 2 seconds, saw that the displays were dead and said it's the main board. At 2 years 3 months, there was no charge.

I have the exact same problem. Did you have to pay the trip charge (~$75). Did you have an extended warranty?
