It sounds like the fridge is not defrosting.

Locate the defrost timer in the front corner of the fridge under the freezer door.

With the compressor running manually turn the knob on the timer until the compressor shuts off.

Your fridge will now be in the defrost cycle.

The defrost cycle will last about 20 minutes.

If you open the freezer door you should be able to hear the water hitting the heater.

If after the 20 minutes the fridge does not start up you will have to turn the knob on the timer until the compressor starts back up.

If the freezer has defrosted then you now know that the timer is faulty.

If the freezer did not defrost then you have a problem with the heater or the defrost bi metal.

Here is a link to your fridge model FRS26ZRF.

To give you a more detailed break down of your fridge please supply the two numbers of the model.

They are on the tag in the fridge section with the serial number.

Here is your defrost timer.

Thanks For The Info.

I Did Just What You Suggested. The Heater Came On. I Had The Cover Off, So I Could See It Glowing Red. Then After About 20 Minutes, The Heater Went Off. I Turned The Timer And The Compressor Started Running Again. So, I Changed The Bi-metal. All Seems Ok For Now.

How Do I Know For Sure It Is Fixed? I Hate To Put It All Back Together, Load It Up With Food Again Just To Find Out I Needed To Go Further.

Should I Just Let It Run For A While? Maybe Check Temperatures In Each Compartment? What Are Proper Operating Temperatures?

Thanks Again. It Is Really Appreciated.

The bi metal is what turned the heater off.

This is a safety device.

The timer is your problem.

The fridge should have started back up on it own.
