Default Refrigerator not cold
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ET1WTKXKQ01
Age: 5 - 10 years

We recently experienced a bad lightning storm and had a few power outages, some long some short.

The following day nothing in my refrigerator or freezer was cold.
I unplugged it for 15 minutes and plugged it back in and still no cooling.

I removed the back panel and the compressor is not viberating. However the external compressor fan is operating normally.

What steps should I take to determine the damaged component. and how do I locate the exploded diagram.

Thanks for your help.

Default

Update:

I measured the resistance between each of the three pegs sticking out from the compressor, they all read infinite resistance. I assume one of the windings in the compressor motor is burned out.

However I also measured from the compressor pegs to ground and it did not short.

What is my next step?

Replace the entire compressor?

and how can I check if the start relay and overload are still good, what ohm should I read?
