Does it fill with water. If you fill it manually will it cycle and dump it out when frozen.

i did fill it manually and nothing happened. all the working parts of the ice maker are still in the same place as when i manually filled it with water. the working parts i am talking about are the ice ejectors and the control arm. is this a timed event and is the motor the timer. it seems to me that it has to be the water valve or the ice maker assembly. thanks again.

If it won't dump the ice after it's frozen, it's an ice maker problem.
You can test the water valve by swapping the wires on the dispenser side of the valve with the ice maker side of the valve and depress water button. Water should go into ice maker.
