Default Refrigerator freezer not frieezing
Brand: Amana
Model Number: SCD25TW
Age: More than 10 years

I have an Amana sideside refrigerator and the refrigerator is cool, not cold. The setting is on the coldest, for both freezer and refrigerator. The refrigerator is on. You can hear it. It will freeze ice, it takes all day to make it. The food is not frozen. What could be the problem?

I have been listening and watching my refrigerator all day. Its running makes a humming sound doesn't shut off. It clicks on and that runs runs for about 23 minutes each time or more. The freezer does not freeze bread. Will ice pop (slush) Won't freeze lemonade in cans. Meat freezes. Its on a cold as it can get. Makes ice takes all day, but it taste really bad.I don't know if any or fans work. I'll pulled the refrigerator out away from wall about 14 inches. iIwill need to take back off, how can I tell what fan or condenser is working if I can't get to part? Is there a way to tell?

Sounds like you have a leak in the sealed system.

What is a sealed system? Is it exspensive to repair or can we do it. It has been running all day and things aren't frozen.
