My ice maker in the top freezer leaks water in the dropped ice and down the back inside wall of the refrigerator. It is driving me crazy, sometimes water leaks on to the floor. The leaking water in the freezer fuses the ice in the tray together. I throw out the ice that melts together, but I have recently notice the ice tasting bitter.Can this problem be fixed or should I just buy a new refrigerator/freezer since it is about 8 yrs old?

Watch the ice maker fill with water next time. Does it over fill, is that when the water drips into the bin and down the back.---check water inlet switch---Ice Maker Repair Guide: How To Test the Inlet Switch - ACME HOW TO.com or check the tube the water comes from.
