Default Refrigerator freezer does not work
Brand: General Electric
Age: 5 - 10 years

My refrigerator freezer does not work, the fridge portion does work. the air in the freezer portion is as cold as the fridge portion. Also, the ice maker (internal, not on the door) does not produce ice.

Any suggestions why

Thanks

Alain

What is running, evaporator fan, condensing fan, compressor??
If everything running, remove back panel in freezer and check coils. Are they completely frozen up, or partially, or not at all.

Everyting is running but the compressor is fairly hot, can't keep my hand on it for more than 5-10 seconds.
The coils don't feel cold at all at the touch.

Does this help?

Thanks
Alain
