Default Refrigerator And Freezer
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PTS22LHPARCC
Age: 1 - 4 years

My Frig Is Less Than Four Years Old The Problem Is The Freezer And Frig Do Not Maintain The Temp Set On The Temp. Control. It Goes Up As High As 57 Degrees, It Takes A Long Time To Reach The Preset Temp Setting. When This Happens Fans And Comp Stop Running. The Temp Starts Rising, The Fans Will Start Running But The Comp Does Not Run. It Can Take Hours Before The Comp Will Start Up Again. This Is The Second Message On This Problem. I've Received A Response From Sheila On This And Changed The Fresh Food Temp Sensor As She Requested. I Have Since Change The Fresh Food Board Asm Temp Control And The Hsg Membrane Asm22. In The Freezer I Have Changed Temp Evap Sensor, Defrost Therm And The Base Therm Sensor. Parts Were Purchased At Partselect. I Continue To Have The Same Problem, Except Now The Compressor Won't Start Or Run At All. Any Help Would Be Appreciated. Thank You

You have big problems that may require a pro. On this site, go to tech talk and look at my article,"new repair research"
The schematic will help you check thermistors and evaporator fan.
Basically, if your evaporator fan works well and shows no visible problems like bearings and the thermistors check out , you have a bad mother board
Pn wr55x10151. Remove mother board and check for a intermittant relay solder joint on the back. If ok order the board.
Good luck, you will need it.

It would be helpful if I had a schematic for this refrigerator. Nothing came with it when it was delivered and I can't seem to purchase one anywhere. I went to "Tech Talk" but it won't give me access to your article " New repair research" because I'm not a service tech. Line 5.ask Are you a service tech? Let us know and we'll change your title so others will know that you're a professional. And you'll automatically get access to Tech Talk, our servicer-only forum. Interested in becoming a volunteer moderator? Drop us a line.
I will visually check the mother board to see if something can be detected.
Thank you for any further advice on this problem

Ge has made sure there is NO service info with their "problem" refrigerators with the infamous motherboard, although with the newer ones they aree supplying a small schematic, but no data.
Go to www.applianceguru.com/forum1/3075.html for a fine schematic.
