Default Refrigerator/freezer
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: RSW24E0DAE
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Maytag side by side refrigerator/freezer. The bottom of the freezer is filling with water turning to ice. I have unclogged the drain tube and the problem goes away only to return a month later. PLEASE HELP

Make sure you're clearing it all the way to the drip pan under the fridge. It gets clogged up with all that dust and mold and stuff. Force water through it with air to clean it out. Make sure it drains quickly when you're through. A solution of bleach and water will help kill the mold.

Plugged the refer. back in prior to finishing...BIG MISTAKE... blew breaker in basement. Now I get no water and no ice. Do I need to replace the whole ice maker or just the cord for icemaker?
