Default Refrigerator/freeze to warm
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: tfh30prtaww
Age: More than 10 years

I checked the timer and had to manually restart the refrigerator. My question is should the freezer/refrig. come up to the correct temperature after this or will it still run warm until replacement of timer? Is it possible the themostate is not working?

It sound like the timer got stuck in the defrost cycle.

The fridge will come back to the correct temperature but if the timer motor is faulty it will it will either happen again or the fridge will not defrost which will cause the fridge section to get warm.

Replace the timer as soon as possible.

Here is a link to your fridge model tfh30prtaww.

Here is the defrost timer.
