Recently my refrigerator's door (side by side) behaves strangely. It won't close unless pushed strongly, and when open, it won't stay open but close halfway. I discovered part of a washer on the floor directly beneath the lower hinge. I need help to confirm that the washer was the problem or not, and if it is, how can i buy a replacement part and how to take the door out to replace the washer.

This diagram shows the part (number 16) and how the hinge goes together. You don't have to take the door off. It will stay on while you remove the hinge. You can block it up with a book etc. just in case. You can order it there online or a local appliance parts store.
