Default Refrigerator door handle moving from left to right side
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 79565009401
Age: 1 - 4 years

I'm moving the door handle on my refrigerator from the left side to the right side.
I can't figure out how to take it off.

The refrigerator handle is about 32" long and it's plastic. There are no visible screws to unscrew.

Below is a diagram of the door assembly. You may need to zoom in.
Edit copy and edit paste the attachment from sears.

it looks like it should just pop off . . .

Thank you for any help you may have.

That model number doesn't bring up diagram to look at but most will have a plastic end cap you can pry off to expose the screws on each end.

There are no plastic end caps to remove but thank you for the suggestion anyways.

Chuck,
I found a diagram of the door handle but it still doesn't tell you how it comes off or how it's put back on.

edit copy and paste the following website from sears. It shows the handle. You may need to zoom in.
