I have a GE bottom freezer refrigerator 18 months old that starting "clicking" yesterday and will not cool. Lights dim when it clicks. I think it's trying to start the compressor and the compressor is getting hot fan does not turn.

It sound like the motherboard at the back of the fridge has failed.

There has been a lot of post with the same problem.

When you call have your complete model and serial number ready.

It can be found in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.
