Default Refrigerator compressor question
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: msd2657hes
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi, a repairman damaged the existing compressor when changing an overload relay. New compressor unit delivered today by UPS - 3 days late. Compressor to be installed tomorrow by Sears.

When you pick up the just delivered part it seems to have a part loose inside. Almost a muffled bell sound if you move it. The box and the packing was crushed.

My question is should it have this sound and should it be installed?

thanks
