The fridge temp. control is different from the freezer control which uses a thermostat which turns off the compressor to control the temp. The fridge uses a vent in the back of the fridge and freezer to blow cold air from the freezer to the fridge using the evaporator fan in the freezer. you open or close it more using a slide switch.
