Default Refrigerator
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: tfx27rlb
Age: More than 10 years

I have a side by side. The freezer works fine but the cooler side just keeps running. If I turn off the control and than turn it to say 3 it will not go on until the temp. raises to that setting but once it starts it will not stop.

You will need to replace the cold control.

This is the control behind the knob that you are turning.

Here is a link to your fridge model tfx27rlb.

Here is the control.
