There is a double solenoid on the back of the fridge where that the water line is hook to.

One of the solenoid is for the water dispenser and one is for the ice maker.

If you manual fill the ice maker will it make and dump the ice?

The ice maker holds about 7 ounces of water.

Here is the part number for the solenoid valve for your fridge.
