will not dispense water. when problem started it took several seconds before it would dispense, then it finally quit. could this be caused by a faulty solenoid valve?

This could be caused by one of the micro switches.

It could be caused by the electronic control.

It could be caused by the water inlet valve at the back of the fridge.

From the symtoms sounds like a frozen water line. Easy to find just activate solenoid in the back with a "cheater" cord and then take apart fittins one by one till the clog is found.
