Default Refrigerater
Brand: KitchenAid
Age: 5 - 10 years

My Kitchen Aid won't dispense water. Icemaker works great. I replaced the Solonoid valve with no luck. I have water coming from the source through the filter and up to the input side of the valve. I checked the actuater switch in the front and it seems to check OK. It seems that there is no power being sent to the valve so that the valve will open. Is there a fuse somewhere? Something else I'm missing. Anybody have any ideas?

You will have to check the switch with a meter to see if it is working.

The wiring diagram for the fridge is either in the control panel in the fridge section or in the kick plate under the doors.

Here is a link to your fridge model KSCS25FJSS01.

Sheila, everything checks out including the valve and microswitch in the front. I can read voltage going through the microswitch but unable to get voltage at the valve. Don't know how the wire is routed internally, but somewhere between the microswitch and the valve, I have an OPEN, thus preventing the valve from opening.

There may be a break in the wiring harness in the door were it connects.
