My frig is making a howling sound in the freezer, so I ordered the replacement fan motor WR60X10185. I am not sure what to remove first, the ice maker assembly, the shelf racks, how do you remove the fan housing assembly with the light ?.
Thanks,

The first thing to remove is the shelves then the ice maker.

Remove the light lens and there should be screws holding the panel in place.

Here is a exploded view of your fridge model PSS26SGRCSS.

Hi,Thanks, but there is no screws holding the light panel. Do you have to remove the back coil panel first. The shelf brackets need to be removed to get the back panel off ?
Do you thing the howling problem is the fan motor ?
Thanks

If you go to the break down of the freezer section and look at the picture of the light housing you will see that below item 250 the tabs that hold the light panel in.

Just pry down and it should release.

The shelf brackets should not have to be removed.
