Default Puresource 2 Water Filter Base
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS23F5A
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am trying to replace the base for the puresource 2 water filter on this frigidaire model # FRS23F5A. Seemed easy until I tried to disconnect the hoses from the old water filter base. They won't budge and I am afraid I am going to break something by pulling too hard. Any advice?

Can you please verify your model number as there seems to be some character missing at the end?

There could be a type number.

The connections could be what you call quick disconnect.

If the hoses are pushed into white connectors that go into the base these connectors will pull out a little and release the hoses.

The full model number is FRS23F5AQ2. I tried to pull out the connectors but still no luck. I will give it another try.

Thanks,

The hoses are connected to gray connectors that go into the base. I pulled those out a little but the hoses still won't come loose.

Sorry I told you the wrong way. You have to push in on the gray connectors and out on the hoses.
