Default Problem with my Refrigerator
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.55522400
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello, I have a Kenmore Coldspot Model 106.55522400 Refrigerator. My Freezer gets nice and cold but the refrigerator part does not get cold. I have it set at 35 and it stays at like room temperature. I turned the unit off by holding the off button in the refrigerator and left it off for like 2 days that it started to work than it stopped working again. The round vent on the left side that blows in cold air from the freezer side doesnt blow air ether but it did when I shut it off for 2 days. What could the problem be?

That fan is the evaporator fan in the freezer. Unless it's iced up with ice blocking the fan the fan may be bad. check it here.Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Test the Evaporator Fan - ACME HOW TO.com

If it's an ice problem check the defrost heater, defrost thermostat. If those are good replace the control board.

Thanks, I will try that? I just want to make sure thats the right piece. when you open the refrigerator there is a fan in the upper left rear corner, and it has a little thermometor connected to the fan. Is that the same piece that you are talking about. That piece was covered in ice, so I defrosted it and all it did was make a few clicking sounds and that was it.
