I have a late 50's Philco fridge that has started to freeze everything. I keep it on th lowest setting and it gets just cold enough to freeze the liquid (beer) that I keep in it. Does anyone know how to fix this. Also, its the fridge with the big square cold plate in the back.

It is low on freon, or the compressor is going sour, or both= new fridg. time.
